FRP MANHOLE COVERS

FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastic) is newly developed material for manhole covers. Before introduction of FRP, manhole covers we traditionally manufactured from concrete, steel reinforced concrete, cast iron, ductile iron materials, but these materials had the drawbacks like low load carrying capacity. FRP has emerged as the best alternate material for manhole covers due to its long lifespan, capacity to withstand high load and easy installation.
